Otto Ambagtsheer nieuwe Regional Managing Director Benelux Unibail-Rodamco

Unibail-Rodamco announces the appointment of Otto Ambagtsheer as the new Regional Managing Director for the Benelux Region.

The Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Otto Ambagtsheer as its Regional Managing Director for the Benelux region, replacing John van Haaren.

Mr Ambagtsheer will lead Unibail-Rodamco’s Benelux team to unlock the growth potential of standing assets in the region by driving operational excellence and innovation across the board. Together with the UR Development team, he will implement the Group’s ambitious pipeline in The Netherlands and in Belgium with two iconic projects, The Spring, in Leidschendam-Voorburg, and Mall of Europe, in Brussels.

Mr Ambagtsheer will join Unibail-Rodamco on May 1, 2015, following more than 19 years of increasingly senior positions at Schiphol Group, including Commercial Director of Brisbane Airport Corporation in Australia, Director of Real Estate Development at Schiphol Real Estate, and lastly as Managing Director Business-area Consumer Products & Services. In this role, Otto was responsible for all consumer-oriented commercial operations within Schiphol Group. This included products and services such as retail, food and beverage, parking and E-business.

Mr Ambagtsheer graduated with a Law Degree from Radboud University of Nijmegen in 1994 and is a Graduate of the London Business School.
